The organisers of this summer’s Olympic Games have recently issued an open invitation to communities across the country to bring the magic of London 2012 to their local areas.
Why become a local leader?
If you’re not Usain Bolt, a torch bearer or a ticketholder, this is a great opportunity to get into the spirit of the games and bring them to life in your neighbourhood!
What’s involved?
It's simple: all you need is an idea of how you can celebrate the Games and then get organising! You can create your own events or get put on one of the suggested activities such as gardening for the games, a sports quiz or opening night in with your friends and neighbours!
What do you get?
Aside from the warm fuzzy feeling from doing something nice, as a local leader you’ll get exclusive access to hints, tips and a helpful toolkit to help you plan your event.
