Bridge Street update

Last summer Warrington Borough Council chose Muse Developments Ltd as its partner to deliver ambitious plans to regenerate the town centre.

The scheme is one of the largest active regeneration projects in the region.  Proposals include new shops, restaurants, a gym, cinema, foodstore, indoor market, cultural centre, hotel and council offices.

Over the last few months a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes and a public consultation on the draft plans is due to begin in the spring.

During this period of feedback residents, local businesses and other stakeholders will have their chance to outline their priorities.

Cllr Mike Hannon, deputy leader of the council said: “We want to give the town centre a new heart and focus and we feel these plans will provide a more attractive place for residents to live and work in.”

Work is expected to begin on site in 2013.
