Eight pubs in Stockton Heath will be celebrated for their high standards of conduct and customer care in an awards ceremony on Thursday 9 February 2012 at the Town Hall.
The new ArcAngel award recognises the work these businesses have done together to uphold high standards of customer care and provide a safe and welcoming environment.
The pubs receiving the award have also signed up to a voluntary code of conduct and have actively encouraged other establishments to engage in the scheme.
The award winning pubs are:
Cape
The Mulberry Tree
The Red Lion
The London Bridge
Saracens Head
A La Turka
Le Bistrot Pierre
Tom at 101
The ArcAngel project involves agencies working together to tackle issues in Warrington such as alcohol related crime and disorder and underage drinking.
Councillor Mike Hannon, deputy leader of the council, who is a member of the ArcAngel committee, said:
‘This new ArcAngel award scheme aims to promote safety and customer care, not just in Stockton Heath but in all pubs across Warrington. Congratulations to all those establishments receiving an award for their hard work. We look forward to many more pubs getting involved in the ArcAngel initiative in the future.’
