New perimeter fence for Hollinfare Cemetery

hollinfare cemeteryVisitors to Hollinfare Cemetery can now enjoy extra peace of mind, thanks to a new perimeter fence that has been installed.

The fence was jointly funded by Warrington Borough Council and the Friends of Hollinfare Cemetery after the Friends secured a grant from the Hamilton Davies Trust, a charity which supports community projects in the area.

Representatives from the council, the friends and the trust met at the cemetery to celebrate the fence’s installation (pictured).

Cllr David Keane, executive board member for environment and public protection said:

‘I would like to thank Friends of Hollinfare Cemetery for their hard work and dedication and the Hamilton Davies Trust for their generosity. The fence has been a welcome enhancement to the cemetery for visitors tending their loved ones graves.’

If you would like to join the Friends of Hollinfare Cemetery, please contact the council’s bereavement services department on 01925 267731 or see the noticeboards within the cemetery.
