It is with regret that the Recycling Bring Site at Birchwood Shopping Centre on Dewhurst Road will close at the end of January.
The land the site is on is owned by developers and is set to be used in a future redevelopment of Birchwood shopping centre.
A number of textile and shoe recycling containers will remain within the grounds of the shopping centre near to entrance 1 and 3 but all other recycling facilities will no longer be available.
Residents are being asked not to leave any waste at the site from Tuesday 31 January 2012 and to use the following alternative facilities:
- Nelsons Quarter Deck on Admirals Road (glass, cans & textiles)
- Jolly Falstaff pub in Padgate (glass, cans, card & textiles)
- Community Recycling Centre at Woolston (wide range of materials for recycling).
And don’t forget to make use of your blue bin at home to recycle, glass bottles, paper, card and plastic bottles
