What are accreditation schemes?
The private sector housing team is working with colleagues in Cheshire West & Chester and Cheshire East to develop a county wide scheme - the Cheshire Landlord Accreditation Scheme which is due to be launched in September 2010.
We know that private landlords play an essential role in the provision of accommodation across Cheshire. Many of these landlords provide and maintain properties to a good standard, often above that required by the law. We want to recognize these achievements and support others to reach this higher standard. The Cheshire Landlord Accreditation Scheme is a voluntary scheme developed to ensure that local authority practices and landlord activity are consistent across the county, within the boundaries of Cheshire West & Chester, Warrington and Cheshire East.
