The role

We have an exciting opportunities to join a highly skilled team of professionals as an Edge of Care/ Residential Worker as part of the Lighthouse in Warrington, our successful project that offers outreach to young people on the edge of care and their families, as well as residential care for young people in an Ofsted rated 'Good' 6-bed children's home that supports young people to return to a family environment or prepare for their next step.

As an Edge of Care/Residential Worker you will support young people and their families with a robust package of support with the goal of the young person continuing to live with their family.

Warrington Borough Council's Social Care service have adopted a Systemic Practice Model where relationships with young people and their families is key.

This is a challenging role and we are looking for people that are flexible, motivated, committed and resilient. The post is a dual role where you will care and support the young person in the residential home which includes evening, weekends and sleep in's and also offer outreach in the community.

Along with a competitive salary and training and development opportunities you will receive enhancements, sleep in and mileage allowances.

You must hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Residential child care.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
