About us

We are looking to recruit an Education Quality Adviser to work within the Education Team and with schools in Warrington to improve outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

You will be reporting to the Head of Service for Education and will work with schools to lead on improving outcomes for pupils with special educational needs, pupils who attend alternative provision and pupils who are educated out of school.

The role

You will work within the Education team to advise on the strategies for SEND and Alternative Education, including delivering the most financially effective practice.

You will lead on:

  • Narrowing any gaps in attainment for SEND pupils
  • Promoting links between all relevant agencies to support improved outcomes for children and young people with SEND
  • Co-ordinating and participating in a consistent approach to the quality assurance of SEND
  • Establishing high quality training and support across mainstream and special schools in Warrington
  • Development and delivery of Alternative Education 

What's needed?

Applicants must evidence substantial senior level experience of supporting children in educational settings. They will have current and extensive knowledge and understanding of national and local SEND policy and practice.
