Callands Primary School is an Outstanding and popular Community Primary School, situated in West Warrington. We have wonderful well-motivated pupils, an enthusiastic and committed staff and Governing Body, supportive parents and strong links with the community.

The role

As the number of pupils has increased during recent months, the Governors of Calland Primary School wish to appoint a committed, highly motivated, dedicated and caring person to join our team of Midday Assistants, supervising children from Reception to Year 6 during lunchtime.

The working hours / working pattern is 1.5 hours per day 11:45am to 115pm, 5 days per week, which is 7.5 hours per week. Please be aware that this is a Term Time position and holidays/days off will not be allowed during term time.

Duties will include acting as an excellent role model for the children and promoting the school’s values. You will need to encourage the children to develop their personal and social skills through modelled play and promote excellent behaviour at all times. Interaction with the children and using your initiative to organise activities will be required. You will also be required to supervise children during mealtimes, encouraging them to eat correctly and to develop independence in clearing away. Your role will include setting up tables and chairs, sanitising all eating areas and brushing the floor as needed. On occasions you will be required to attend Midday Assistant meetings and training.
