Loan charges (effective 2 January 2008)

Talking books
£1.20 (60p concessions) for three weeks
Children’s talking books are FREE for three weeks
There is no charge for persons who have difficulty reading print or handling books 

Compact discs
£1.30 for 1 week (65p concessions) 

Playstation games
£3.00 for 1 week (£1.50 concessions)

DVDs
£2.60 for 1 week (£1.30 concessions) 

Videos
£1.00 for 1 week (50p concessions)

Open Learning & language courses
Free for three weeks 

Photocopies
10p per sheet (A4)
20p per sheet (A3)
Archives and local studies have separate charges 

Reservations
There is no charge to reserve books or multimedia items that are held as part of Warrington libraries stock. If the item reserved has to be obtained from a library outside Warrington, the charge is £4.00 (£2.00 concessions)

Computer charges 
CDs: £1.00 each
Disks: 60p each
Printing: 15p per page (black and white), 50p per page (colour)
Headphones: £1.00

Fax
50p per sheet received 
TO UK: £1.00 for first sheet, 60p for subsequent sheets
TO EUROPE: £2.00 for first sheet, 60p for subsequent sheets
TO REST OF WORLD: £3.00 for first sheet, 60p for subsequent sheets

Charges on items that are overdue

Books

  • Books for adults are issued free for three weeks, after which there is a daily charge of 12p per book (Maximum of £3.00 per book) 
  • Books for children age 12 and under
    There are no charges on overdue books. However, if a notice is sent, a charge of 50p will be incurred. 
  • Books for children and young people (13-17)
    Books are issued free for three weeks after which there is a daily charge of 6p per book (maximum of £1.00 per book)         

Please note: Children’s books borrowed on adult tickets will be charged at the adult rate. 

Concessionary rates:
Overdue charges of 6p per item per open day apply to leisure cardholders and users aged 60 years and above. 

Renewing your items
Any item borrowed from the library may be renewed up to three times before it must be returned to the library. 
Books in demand will not be renewed and users will be asked to return the books as soon as possible.
 
Notices for books are sent out after 15 and 25 days. 
Notices for Multimedia are sent out after 7 and 14 days. 
Notices for overdue items include a fee of 50p.
 

Lost tickets
There is no charge for lost tickets; however, if three or more tickets are lost in a two month period then a 50p charge will be made. There is no concessionary rate for this.

Concessions
Leisure cardholders and users aged 60 and over are entitled to the concessionary rates.

Everyone over 60 automatically receives the discounts.

Students on a full time course over 12 months long are entitled to the discounts on production of a Student Union card.
