Warrington libraries now offer its members a great new range of online resources and services to help you find the information you want absolutely free

Need to find out if we have a book, DVD or CD? Want to renew items out on loan? Check it out in our library catalogue.

Take a look at what’s on offer in our online reference library. We have taken out subscriptions so that you can search newspaper archives, art, music, biographical and general encyclopædias for free.

From anywhere in the world you can now use Enquire, a 24/7 online enquiry service and other new People's Network services which will help guide you through the web and explore books and reading online. find out more…

This award winning learning resource for adults and children is now being offered absolutely free to members of Warrington libraries and to anyone who uses the People's Network computers in our libraries. All you have to do is follow the link to Encyclopædia Britannica and enter your library card number. If you are on a library computer just look for the link to Britannica to begin your search.

In the academic edition, you will have unlimited access to the full, updated content of the 32-volume Encyclopædia Britannica, plus: Britannica's student and concise encyclopædias, the web's best sites, thousands of video and audio clips, hundreds of magazines and journals, and more. The student edition is suitable for secondary age children and the junior edition for 5-11 year olds.

Check out a fact for a quiz or crossword, use it to find high quality information for research or homework or just browse for information safe in the knowledge that the information is trustworthy.
