The Warrington UDP has been made into an interactive document for the ease of visitors to the Council's web site. You may now find details of the Plan in two ways:-

  • Entry via the Proposals Map and insets maps of the towns and villages of the District. Click on the map over a point of interest and the corresponding policy text will be shown; OR
  • Entry through a chapter, appendix or policy of the Written Statement, which will, using links, take the visitor through the various chapters of the plan.

A comprehensive help page explains how to use this Interactive Local Plan website.

The emerging Unitary Development Plan (UDP) sets out the Council's town planning policies for guiding development and protecting the environment in the borough of Warrington until the year 2016. The UDP is prepared and progressed through procedures which give everyone the right to comment on policies and proposals as they evolve and to have any objections considered by an independent Inspector at a Public Inquiry.

To catch up on the latest developments on the UDP and other UDP review subjects, see our latest news page.
