We don't coordinate admissions for sixth form admissions. Please contact the individual school or college to apply.
The following state funded schools have their own post-16 provisions:

- University Technical College (UTC), Warrington
First admission into year 12
Open evenings and prospectuses can provide you with a great deal of information about the courses on offer and specific entry requirements.
Young learners who are in year 11 and wish to apply to join their own schools post-16 provision will still be required to apply for a place.
Please be aware that each school has an admission limit for pupils joining the sixth form from another school (external candidates). These figures are published in their prospectus.

Transport
Local Authorities have a duty to publish an Annual Transport Policy Statement for Post 16 Learners. It should be noted that Warrington Borough Council does not generally provide transport assistance for students aged 16 and above and therefore any transport that is provided is on a discretionary basis.
People under 21 are entitled to discounts on Touch and Go tickets from Warrington’s Own Buses. Find out more at warringtonsownbuses.co.uk

The 16 – 19 bursary scheme
The Government has made some limited funding available to schools, colleges, training providers to allocate to young people who need financial support to stay in further education or training. This is known as the 16 – 19 Bursary Fund. For more information or to apply please contact the colleges direct.
Warrington Life
The Warrington Life Service provides young people in Warrington with careers advice and guidance as well as information on learning and work opportunities.
The service is responsible for helping young people to remain in education until they are 18. This can be in full time education, an apprenticeship, or a job with training.
