Building on its tradition as a strong rugby league town, Warrington is proud to be an official host town in the England and Wales 2013 Rugby League World Cup.  

The Samoan international team will hold their pre-tournament training camp here and The Halliwell Jones Stadium, home of the mighty Warrington Wolves will be hosting group matches and a quarter final as well.

The town’s bid to be a host was not only successful but judged to be outstanding largely thanks to the backing of local people and businesses.
