Birchwood Leisure & Tennis Complex was extended from its original four tennis courts to the impressive multi-purpose facility you see today following a lottery grant in 1998. The sportshall within the centre is used and managed by the adjacent Birchwood Community High School and caters for a number of sports including badminton, basketball, volleyball and events such a dance competitions. These facilities are booked directly through the community office at the school. All other facilities managed by Warrington Borough Council.

Located at the heart of Birchwood, Birchwood Leisure & Tennis Complex offer the latest in fitness equipment in the 66-station gym with fully qualified and dedicated staff experienced in personal training, diet, conditioning and rehabilitation. Check out the fitness class programme and for the less energetic, the toning salon.

We also offer a Pathway for Continuous Improvement for all standards of tennis or just book a court and play a game with your friends. Following the LTA guide to excellence, our qualified LTA coaches ensure we develop players to reach their potential. We offer a structured lesson programme from four years of age through to county and regional standard with our performance coach.
