Our Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how and when the community will be involved in the preparation of the Local Plan and other planning documents and how they will be consulted on planning applications. It's a statutory requirement under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004) for us to prepare an SCI.
Revisions to the SCI were approved on Monday 14 December 2020, and we're now required to comply with the principles and commitments made in the revised SCI. However, it should be noted, that if we choose to do so; we can go above the minimum consultation requirements set out in the SCI.
The December 2020 SCI now replaces the 2014 version of the SCI.
