Volunteering

STiW LogoWhy volunteer?
Millions of people in this country already volunteer. They do it because they enjoy it, get a sense of satisfaction, want to play an active role in the community and learn new skills.

Many volunteers find the skills developed lead to greater opportunities like paid employment.

The range of voluteering opportunities is huge.  There are a whole host of projects in the five neighbourhoods represented by Stronger Together in Warrington, which could benefit from your efforts and any time you can spare.

Tips on volunteering

  • Think about what you want to get out it i.e. new skills, meeting people, improving your neighbourhood
  • Think about what you have to offer such as skills from work and life skills
  • Work out how much time you can offer per week or month
  • Get in touch with Stronger Together in Warrington and we will let you know what opportunities are available.

  • They are somebody who gets involved in decisions about where they live
  • They are somebody who works with services to address issues in the area
  • They are somebody who attends area meetings with other Street Ambassadors to discuss issues affecting the area
  • They are meeting new people and having fun whilst making a difference
