Warrington Cycle Forum

The forums remit is to review and contribute to the development of cycling policies and strategies and to raise the awareness of the opportunities for cycling in Warrington.

The cycle forum allows cyclists to meet regularly with council officers, councillors and other interested parties and provides the ideal platform to exchange views and ideas in a fairly informal way.

All kinds of cyclists

Different types of cyclists, from the confident commuter cyclist happy to ride in traffic, to those who prefer more segregation; local short trippers, shoppers and leisure cyclists, exchange views on what can be done to promote cycling, to make it safer and identifying problems for the cyclist. The group is also consulted on new cycling facilities and new policies.

The group is keen to embrace new and novice cyclists who would like to discuss the barriers experienced, have a greater understanding of new cycle projects and be able to gain valuable knowledge from the more experienced cyclist.
