  • Catalogues & brochures
  • Junk mail
  • White paper
  • White page directories
  • Yellow pages

These items must not go in the blue bin or the paper banks. 

  • Shredded paper 
  • Wrapping paper           


Plastic bottles -  (banks/blue bin)

Yes please!Plastic

In the plastic banks and new blue bin you can recycle: 

  • Plastic bottles - juice, water and milk bottles. Including shampoo and household cleaner bottles.

No thanks!

These items must not go in the plastic banks: 

  • Yoghurt pots No thanks
  • Plastic bags*
  • Cling film / bubble wrap
  • Video cassettes
  • Drain pipes, plastic toys etc.           

*Plastic bags can be recycled in store at most super markets. If you would like a reusable cotton bag please email the waste team.


Cans -  (banksCans/blue bin)

These items can be recycled in the can banks and new blue bin:

  • Drinks cans
  • Food tins i.e. soup tins, bean tins etc

No thanks!

  • Scrap metal
  • Aerosol cans

  • Clear bottles and jars
  • Brown bottles and jars
  • Green bottles and jars
  • Blue bottles and jars (please recycle blue bottles/jars 
    in the green glass banks)

  • Pyrex cookware No thanks
  • Ceramics
  • Visionware glasses
