Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Families and Wellbeing Directorate for the role of an Education Support Manager. This is a key role within the LA, supporting the success of school improvement initiatives in Warrington schools.

You will be supporting the Assistant Head of Service, Achievement and Inclusive Education and wider school improvement service to ensure that all schools in Warrington are at least Good and outcomes for all children continue to improve. 

You will provide thematic school improvement work across the Local Authority - specifically to improve outcomes for vulnerable leaners across all phases of education and especially in relation to Key Stage 4 progress and children with Special Educational Needs (SEND).

The Education Improvement and Support Manager has a primary purpose to ensure the Local Authority meets its statutory responsibilities and delivers strategic support for improving outcomes for our most vulnerable pupils. This includes additional statutory duties such as supporting Ofsted inspections, ensuring compliance for Assessment and Monitoring of tests in the Primary Phase, Ofsted complaints and NQTs.

You will be required to work effectively with schools, Headteachers, governors and LA staff and partners. This will require wide ranging understanding of the current educational landscape and the ability to advise other educational leaders and governors on a range of issues. You will need a proven track record of effective communication, while also being able to work sensitively and appropriately with a wide range of people and stakeholders.
