Governors are seeking to ensure the efficient and safe running of the school site and provision of the best possible environment for our pupils, families, staff and visitors. Applications are invited for the post of Maintenance Officer. The successful applicant will be responsible for site safety and security, building and grounds maintenance, completion and keeping of paperwork and management and monitoring of contractors.
Hours are 37 hours per week as a split shift all year round. Flexibility is required to suit site activities.  Usual hours will be 7.00am to 10.55am and 2.45pm to 6.15pm (6.10pm on a Friday)
We are seeking an individual who will:
• have good literacy/numeracy skills
• be a good team worker
• be organised and demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks and manage their time well
• have good interpersonal and communication skills with all members of the school and local community
• promote and follow required policies and procedures, understanding their relevance to all overall Safeguarding systems
• attend relevant training
Experience of working in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
