Hourly rate is dependent on age:
under 18yrs - £4.05
18 – 20yrs - £5.60
21 – 24yrs - £7.05
25+yrs - £7.50
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Families and Wellbeing Directorate for the role of Apprentice Participation Assistant. This is a key role in the Careers for Young Peoples team, which will involve supporting the rest of the team to ensure maintenance of accurate up to date information on the Careers database that meets the statutory tracking and reporting requirements. This role will also be required to contact young people to ascertain their learning or work activities, and where they are NEET, referring to the appropriate services to support and encouragement to participate in education, employment or training. This role will also support with the promotion of services through social media and ensuring the website is kept up to date, as well as carrying out general office duties.
This apprenticeship will provide you with a wide range of learning and development opportunities, the kind that can really enhance your skills. You will need to be committed to undertaking and completing a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ). You must be able to provide excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively, especially through telecommunications. You must be able to work sensitively and appropriately with a wide range of people and stakeholders. The role will also require the use of IT systems, including excel, a specialist database, website and social media.
