An exciting opportunity has arisen within Warrington Borough Council to take the lead in co-ordinating a refreshed strategic plan for cultural growth, helping to shape our ambitions set out in Warrington’s Cultural Framework, Warrington Means Business and City Centre Masterplan.
Building on a recent City of Culture bid (Warrington 2021), this high profile position will require a high performing and confident professional, with experience working in a position of influence and change shaping in a culture, arts, digital or heritage setting.
Using your exceptional communication, leadership and facilitation skills, you will advise strategic leaders across our cultural partnerships in growing our cultural base, influencing decision makers and maximising inward investment into Warrington’s arts, digital, cultural and heritage assets.
A key contributor to our ‘place shaping’ agenda, you will understand the opportunities and risks associated with growing the cultural economy. You will ideally come with commissioning experience, and will be confident in your ability to affect improvement of provision within a commissioning environment.
This post will provide the right person the opportunity to work in a borough with a strong track record of economic growth and with enthusiasm and an open mind for how culture, arts, digital and heritage can play a key part in its future.
This is your opportunity to make your mark and help put Warrington on the cultural map.
