Career progression within the team will be dependent on experience and qualification
An excellent opportunity within the Engineering and Flood Risk Team has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Highway Maintenance Technician/Engineer, with an interest in the design, delivery and supervision of highway maintenance schemes in a busy urban environment.
The role will involve design, tendering, site supervision, co-ordination and overall management of Highway Maintenance schemes. Although the role will primarily involve the resurfacing of footways and carriageways, the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop broader experience within the Structures and Flood Risk Management parts of the team.
Experience of working on Highway Maintenance resurfacing schemes within a Local Authority environment will be an advantage. However, this is not essential as appropriate training and personal development will be provided to the right candidate. This will include study to achieve appropriate Civil Engineering qualifications as necessary.
Excellent interpersonal skills, determination, a will to achieve in a challenging environment, and a positive attitude to customers are key requirements. All applicants will have successfully completed the Civil Engineering NC and be enrolled or part qualified Civil Engineering HND/C Year1.
This is a unique opportunity to work as part of the team transforming “Warrington New Town” to “Warrington New City”.
