The Council is committed to working with our residents, businesses and partners to create a place that works for all. This vision is set out in our equality objectives 2016-2020 which are:

Helping to Improve Life Chances - we want everyone living in Warrington to have a good quality of life and equal life chances. We know that for some people particularly those most affected by social and health inequalities that this is not the case. We will work with our partners to take a positive approach to improving life chances for everybody.

A United Warrington - we are committed to ensuring that all communities in Warrington get on well together. In order to do this we will work with our residents and partners in the public and voluntary sectors to strengthen our knowledge and understanding of all of Warrington's communities. This will enable us to provide and commission services that are accessible and meet everyone's needs.

Collection and analysis of equality monitoring information enables us to design and deliver services that meet the needs of local people and support our workforce effectively. This document contains information on who accesses our services, workforce profile, equality achievements and challenges and gender pay gap information. This document helps us to demonstrate how we are meeting the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) under the Equality Act 2010 which requires us to publish a range of equality monitoring information relating to people who are affected by our services and our workforce.
