Online forms: Assisted bin collections

You can use this form to apply for an assisted bin collection. 

An assisted bin collection is a service for people who might not be able to put the bin out for collection themselves. To use the assisted collection service, you must be elderly or have health issues, and there must not be anyone over 16 years old in the household who can put the bins out for collection.

If you qualify for an assisted collection, our collection teams will come to collect the bins and return them after they have been emptied. The bins can be at the front, side or back of your property.

On your collection day from 6.30am:

  • leave any gates unlocked
  • make sure any pets are not loose in your garden or yard
  • make sure your bins are outside your house or flat

To apply for an assisted bin collection you'll need to tell us:

  • Your name, address and contact details
  • Reasons for requesting an assisted collection
  • Upload proof of disability benefits or provide an up to date blue badge number

If your application is approved we'll contact you to let you know when the service will start. If the application is declined we'll write to tell you why.

Successful applicants will receive a collection of all bins at the property provided that they are easily accessible (not behind locked gates or closely parked vehicles). Once emptied, we will aim to return your bin to the same point on your property we took it from.
