In order to comply with current Government guidance regarding ceremonies during the pandemic, you may find that your ceremony will be quite different to the one you may have imagined. We have been instructed that ceremonies have to be as brief as possible and include only the minimum legal declarations. Unfortunately this means that you cannot add any enhancements to your ceremony, such as readings or poetry. As well as this, if you choose to marry in the Ceremony Room at the Register Office, you will not be able to play your own music (though music can be played for you if you wish), there will be no waiting room (you and your guests will need to wait outside prior to your ceremony), and time spent on photographs will be very limited. If these restrictions are disagreeable to you, and you wish to have a more enhanced ceremony, it is advisable to delay until restrictions are relaxed further, though we are unable to advise when this may be.

To book your ceremony in the Ceremony Room at Warrington Register Office please call 01925 442762.

To arrange a ceremony at another approved venue, first contact the venue to make provisional arrangements and then contact the local register office on 01925 442762 to ensure that registration officers will be available to attend your ceremony.  You cannot book your registrars more than 12 months before your ceremony.

You will be required to pay a non-refundable reservation fee of £40 at the time of booking.  This fee is not a deposit and any subsequent changes in the date, time or venue of your ceremony will be subject to a further £40 charge.

Please note that Warrington registrars can only attend venues located in Warrington. To book registrars to attend a marriage at a venue outside Warrington you will need to contact the local register office.

If you are getting married in a church, please contact your minister.
