Annual Service of Remembrance
Each year the Remembrance Day Service is held on the nearest Sunday to 11 November. The next service will take place on Sunday 12 November 2017.
The service is held at the War Memorial, Bridgefoot and provides an opportunity for the residents of Warrington to observe a two minute silence in remembrance of those who died in battle.
The service will begin at 10.59 am when the ‘Last Post ‘ will be sounded.
The Mayor, Cllr Les Morgan, will lay the first wreath. Members of the public attending are asked to access and exit the war memorial via the marked crossing points and arrive by 10.45 am prior to the civic party taking their positions at the cenotaph.
Attending and taking part:
9.50 am parade forms up at Town Hall
10.20 am: Parade departs town Hall
11.00 am: Two minutes silence marked by bugler from Salvation Army Band. Cenotaph service commences
11.25 am approx.: Parade reforms and returns to Town Hall
