The council's press office
The council's communications team is responsible for media and reputation management, public relations, marketing, event management, corporate identity, photography, MP liaison and internal communications.
The press office sits within the corporate communications team and is the first point of contact for all journalists. It handles all media enquiries regarding council operations, services and schools (excluding academies and free schools in the borough).
The team issues press releases and statements, organises media briefings, leads on reputation and crisis management and assists with awareness campaigns from across the organisation.
If you are a journalist and would like to contact the council, please do so via the details listed on the right hand side to speak to a member of the team so we can deal with your request as quickly as possible.
Filming requests should, in the first instance, be directed to the press office as well.
Please note residents wanting to contact the council should do so via our range of online forms instead of the press office. Thank you.
