Mobile youth base

The Mobile Youth Base is part of the Responsive Outreach Team with Warrington Youth Service.

It is a purpose built mobile youth centre, which is used in areas of the borough where this is little or no access to buildings for young people and here there is an identified need.

Youth workers utilise the vehicle to engage young people "where they are" and enhance the work of our "detached teams". The mobile base can be used to offer advice, information and to support young people in a range of purposeful activities. The mobile is also used at promotional events within neighbourhoods and the town centre offering a focus point for activities and planned consultations to occur.

Youth workers use the facilities on the mobile to deliver educational and fun planned programmes of work and staff offer activities, support, information and advice on a wide range of issues for young people between the ages of 13–19.

It is equipped with a small kitchen area, TV, DVD, games and resources and is fully accessible with an onboard wheelchair lift.

For information about where the mobile is currently operating please contact Warrington Youth Support Service on 01925 851029 or by email to iprobert1@warrington.gov.uk
