Safeguarding means protecting an adult at risk’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect, whilst supporting them to protect themselves and make decisions about how they live their life well and safely.
Abuse and neglect can take many forms including financial exploitation and forcing people to do things against their will. We all have a responsibility to safeguard ourselves and others in our families and communities who may be more vulnerable due to illness, physical and/or mental disability/frailty.
If you suspect that someone is being abused please report this to us.
