The role

The board of governors at Cardinal Newman require a committed and innovative Administration Officer (with responsibility for Reception) to join our vibrant, ambitious and caring school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated professional to be part of very successful administrative team.

The successful candidate will be an excellent administrator with a love of their vocation and high expectations of themselves. They will be an excellent communicator who is able to deal sensitively with confidential matters and be able to respond to the demands of working in an extremely busy school office in a public-facing role. 

Initiative, flexibility and strong IT and literacy skills will be vital to this role in order to provide a high-quality reception service. They will be committed to supporting the ethos and values of our school. They should have experience of all aspects of office administration and have a strong understanding of the requirements of working in a school.

Key responsibilities

To fulfil reception duties, answering telephone calls from parents, carers and external agencies, and responding to student and staff queries. To provide First Aid to students and staff and maintain First Aid records and materials.
