Apprentice Auditor (Fixed Term)
18 months fixed term, 37 hours per week including study time.
Flexible working arrangements.
Do you have an enquiring mind and enjoy working with people? Do you want to work in a busy and challenging environment?
We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Auditor, to provide support to the Council’s Internal Audit service, whilst completing a Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration. On successful completion of the Apprenticeship, we will consider the option of a permanent position with the opportunity to obtain a further, fully-funded specialist qualification, either in Internal Audit or another area suitable to the needs of the business.
You will undertake a variety of roles and responsibilities as part of the team. You will carry out audit reviews under supervision, but will also have the opportunity to work on your own initiative to develop testing programmes and find ways to interrogate and use data. This will suit someone with an analytical mind and a logical approach to problem-solving.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a range of skills within a team that has a varied and interesting workload that covers the full range of the council’s services. We are in a partnership with Salford City Council, so you may get the chance to gain experience of working with colleagues there.
The wider team in Warrington also covers Risk Management, Insurance and Counter Fraud and there will be the opportunity to work with colleagues in these areas in order to broaden your work experience and help in your career development.
