An opportunity to become a Business Administration Apprentice has arisen in the Democratic Services Team at Warrington Borough Council (October 2022 start date). We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed and enthusiastic about undertaking training to further their professional career.

An apprenticeship will provide a wide range of learning and development opportunities that can really enhance skills. The successful candidate will be expected to gain a NVQ qualification in Business Administration. The qualification, alongside work experience, will provide proven skills and knowledge to perform business administration to a high standard.

The successful Apprentice will support a thriving Democratic Services team and will contribute to supporting Councillors and the Mayoral Office. The service is responsible for council and committee meetings, the Cabinet, formal decision making, services provided directly to councillors, member development, overview and scrutiny of council and other public services, various civic events and support for the mayor.

This role and will involve close liaison with Councillors, officers and the community. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working and have the ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.

The role will last 18 months with a generous holiday entitlement and benefits package and you will be eligible for the same terms and conditions as other Warrington Borough Council employees.
