Due to staff retiring within the School Meals Service we have vacancies for Catering Supervisors at various primary schools across Warrington.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing a lunchtime service catering for approximately 160 meals a day within a set budget, there is the potential of further business development. There will also be a requirement to occasionally provide catering outside normal school hours.

You will require good organisational and communication skills, a proven track record of large scale catering and the ability to manage a team of catering staff.  

Duties will include ordering, preparing, cooking and serving healthy meals using fresh ingredients, supervision of kitchen assistants, kitchen-related administration, record keeping, use of technology, you will be responsible for managing a cashless catering system, and responsible for ensuring  all staff are complying  with management systems in place and WBC policies and procedures.

Working experience in a busy catering environment is essential and City & Guilds 705, 706/1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ. All applicants must hold a current food hygiene certificate.

Start and finish times to be arranged. 

Hours: 25-30 hours per week, term time only.
