Cheshire Local Resilience Forum (CRF) exists following the introduction of the Civil Contingencies Act (CCA) 2004 its aim is to plan for, respond to and recover from major incidents and emergencies.
The Resilience Forum ensures that the associated duties under the CCA are undertaken to promote the safety of residents in all areas of Cheshire, both from specific and generic threats and risks.
As well the excellent partnership working at a local Cheshire level, the CRF engages with regional and national agencies, central government and wider partners to ensure that there is effective planning, training, exercising and response to incidents within the CRF area. This role will require excellent communication skills and an ability to engage and negotiate with strategic, tactical and operational partners
An exciting opportunity has arose for the new post of CRF Business Manager; this post will play a crucial role in leading and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum for the work of the CRF. At times it will be a complex and challenging role which will require the post holder to have an understanding of the role, responsibilities and complexities of each CRF partner agency, recognising the diverse nature of each of partners and the ability to harness effective and collaborative partnership working to continue to build upon the successful track record of the Cheshire Resilience Forum.
Warrington Borough Council will host this post on behalf of the CRF and as such the post holder will be accountable to the Head of Strategic Support & Coordination / Community Safety & Resilience.
This post will be for an initial fixed term of 18months, a full review of the value and effectiveness of the post will commence within a 12-14months timeframe.
