Warrington Borough Council Children’s Centres are looking to add to their dynamic team of Children’s Centre Support Workers.

The role of a Children’s Centre Support Worker comprises of 2 main features: Planning and delivering quality play and learning opportunities for children and families. These programmes include universal play sessions and a targeted offer that helps children improve on specific areas of development, whilst equipping adults with knowledge and skills to embed this within the home environment; and managing a caseload of children and families that have been identified as needing level 2 support on Warrington’s threshold of need.

You will support the families on an individual basis, providing practical and emotional ‘Early Help’. This part of the role will include completion of Early Help assessments and evidence based tools, and working as part of a multi-agency team.

We currently have 2 vacancies: 1 x 37 hour fixed term post till March 2023 and 1 x 30 hour permanent post. 

DBS clearance is required.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
