The role

The role of a Children’s Centre Support Worker comprises of 2 main features:

1. Planning and delivering quality play and learning opportunities for children and families. These programmes include universal play sessions, as well as targeted interventions that help children improve in specific areas of development; whilst equipping adults with knowledge and skills to embed this within the home environment.

2. Managing a caseload of children and families that have been identified as needing 'universal plus' support on Warrington’s continuum of need. You will support the families on an individual basis, providing practical and emotional ‘Early Help’. This part of the role will include completion of Early Help assessments and evidence based tools, and working as part of a multi-agency team.

What's needed?

You will need experience of working with children, and a passion for making a difference to the lives of families in need of support.

This is an exciting time to join Early Help in Warrington as we continue our journey to transform our Children's Centres into Family Hubs and expand our offer to families in all areas of Warrington.
