The Covid Public Analyst post will increase the capacity within the existing Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence team to support the on-going data and intelligence required for a robust COVID-19 response.

The post-holder will be responsible for analysing and interpreting complex and sensitive information from a wide range of local and national sources to; inform action, provide reliable surveillance and monitoring and support operational and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will have experience of working with health and socio economic information sources, they will have excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Candidates will need experience in the use of statistical methodologies for interpreting and understanding data sets, and be able to work under own initiative to solve problems, interpret data and draw out key findings. The ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines is absolutely essential! As is a flexible and positive approach to work in order to deal with what are sometimes unpredictable and changing demands.
