Finance Assistant - Families and Wellbeing Accountancy Team
About us
The Families and Wellbeing Accountancy team are looking to recruit a full time Finance Assistant to support our team of Finance Advisors in providing a high-quality service to schools and internal customers.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant for Education, you will be part of an integral team providing support to schools via a purchased Service Level Agreement. Overall, 40 schools purchase this service.
The role
Day to Day activities include but are not limited to:
- Visiting schools to provide onsite finance support
- Processing purchase orders, invoices
- Data Input to school systems
- Bank Reconciliations
- Journal Preparation
- Preparation of annual finance returns
- Admin support for Finance Advisory Team - working is hybrid so both in the office or at home
What's needed?
The successful applicant must:
- Have prior knowledge of financial systems / general procedures
- Be able to adapt to differing working environments
- Be organised and able to independently control workload and arrangements with SLA holders
- Be an active problem solver
- Pay attention to detail
- Have a clean driving licence
- Be flexible around working hours to meet accounting timescales
