Highway Asset Maintenance & Street Works Inspector

Warrington Borough Council brings a fresh and energetic approach to providing top quality services for its many customers and communities. The role of the Highway Asset Maintenance and Street Works Inspector is to ensure the Authority fulfils its statutory obligations and meets the wider corporate aims and objectives of the Council.

Working within the Highways Asset Maintenance & Street Works team, the successful candidate will undertake site inspections and activities associated with the maintenance and management of highway assets in accordance with the statutory requirements of the Highways Act, the New Roads and Street Works Act and the Traffic Management Act.

Working alongside experienced staff the post holder will liaise with various stakeholders, including Council Officers, Councillors, Members of the Public, Contractors, Utility Companies, Developers and Third Parties, engaged in highway related activities to ensure the seamless delivery of the service.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic with an ability to work to a high professional standard and ideally have experience of working in Highway Maintenance & Street Works.
