The Journey First and Parents First programmes aim to support local people furthest from the job market into employment, education and/or training. Both projects are funded by the European Social Fund and run until Spring 2023.

Journey First is open to anyone from 16 years of age, who has multiple or complex barriers to employment. Parents First focusses on the more specific needs of parents with children who access a funded nursery place.

Job Coaches are the key front-line personnel for both projects, liaising directly with participants, employers and other professionals, to improve outcomes. This exciting role requires enthusiasm and creative thinking to ensure each participant explores and experiences the best possible ways to realise their potential.

You will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of working with people to build their confidence and skills; supporting them on their individual path to employment, education or training.

Job Coaches will work across Warrington in a range of community venues, including Children’s Centres and Neighbourhood Hubs. This will ensure easy access to support for participants in their local community, and enable close working relationships with existing Early Help, Education and Employment teams.
