Vacancies at St Gregory’s are unique and an opportunity to join one of the highest performing (top 4) schools in the Liverpool Archdiocese and Warrington areas. Our most recent examination performance produced a progress 8 score of +0.25.

Our school is well oversubscribed with a waiting list for admission in every year group. Our recent expansion in pupil numbers is now complete and has coincided with a building refurbishment of 23 new classrooms, a new sports hall and a new chapel.

Our school is at the heart of the thriving Catholic Parishes of West Warrington situated in an area of substantial growth next to all of the key motorway routes in the North West. We take pride in our relationship with the local community, partner primary schools and our partnerships within the archdiocese trust.

In January 2020, Ofsted’s inspection report, conducted under the new inspection framework, graded the school as ‘Good’ in every area and the school was graded as ‘Outstanding’ in our Section 48 Inspection of the Catholic Life provision of the school in February 2019. We encourage all applicants to read both reports and to review our school website too.
The opening paragraph from the Ofsted report reads: “There is a strong sense of community across the school which reflects the school vision. One pupil said “we are cared about as individuals, but because everyone cares, that makes us all one”

We are now relishing the challenge of continuing our successful journey towards providing an outstanding whole school provision. Your qualities will include being passionate about your subject and a desire to make a big difference to children’s education. Positive relationships are key to our school.

The school welcome and encourage potential applicants to discuss role with the Headteacher but this is not a formal requirement. We also encourage you to review our school website
