The role

The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a fixed term position.

We are looking for an individual who is able to work with and supervise a child with SEND and an EHC plan, under the direction/instruction of teaching &/or senior staff, inclusive of physical and general care and basic classroom management techniques.

We are looking for a person with energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Someone who enjoys making a positive difference to the children every day.

The individual will be able to:

• Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.
• Be aware of and respond appropriately to individual pupil needs.
• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led/provided by the teacher.
• Supporting social and emotional growth of pupils.
