About us

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced children's occupational therapist to join the well-established and motivated team of occupational therapists, assistant practitioners and community care workers within the assisted living team.

The role

The role involves assessing children within Warrington aged between 0 and 18 with diverse needs within their home working closely with parents, carers and other professional to provide a child centred approached and coordinated service. The primary aim is to enable children to reach their optimum level of independence, maintain safety and maximise quality of life. This is achieved through advice and provision of specialist equipment, minor adaptations and housing adaptations (disabled facilities grants). The children's service is developing and there is an opportunity for you to be involved in this to make a difference to children with disabilities in Warrington. 

As a valued member of assisted living team you will be supported with regular supervision, a manageable and proportionate caseload, regular CPD and a visible and approachable management team. This is a full-time role (flexible working can be considered). We have agile working in the community, working from home and a range of council offices throughout the day. Car use is essential. 

What's needed?

You must be a qualified, state registered Occupational Therapist with experience of working with children. 

Car use and a driving license are essential.
