You don’t need any qualifications or previous work experience to apply for this role, what’s really important are your values and your attitude towards working with people who need care and support. 

We will train you to work with those who need our services to encourage them and help them to become independent so that they can stay in their home environment whilst ensuring that they are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

Summary of the role

To support the people of our community to live well and age well for as long as possible in a place they call home in line with the philosophy of Intermediate care. Reablement Support Workers will provide practical hands-on support, to encourage people to be confident and capable in undertaking activities of daily living themselves, promoting their own strengths. To have individual responsibility in accordance with practices and procedures to give the people we support the best outcome and to achieve their personal goals and identifying any longer-term support, social and wellbeing needs. 

What's needed?

  • Your caring nature and values of treating people with dignity and respect
  • The willingness to be trained to a minimum of Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Care if you do not already have a qualification
  • Written, verbal and numerical skills
  • A current driving licence or working towards
  • The ability and willingness to work to a rota that includes evenings and weekends
  • A desire to support people to live independently in their own home
