Residential Care Worker
About us
You will be working one of Warrington Borough Council's Residential Children's Homes. You will report directly to the homes Registered Manager Adele Robinson and the homes Deputy Manager Kerry Hampton.
The role
As a residential care worker you will be part of a team responsible for caring for some of our most vulnerable young people. You will be responsible for ensuring the children and young people we care for are safeguarded, have access to health and education and that you are working within the regulatory framework set out through our Regulatory body. You will hold key working and case file responsibility for children and young people in our care.
This role is a 37 hour post that will consist of a variation of days, evening, weekend and sleep in duties following a rota set out in advance. No day is the same within a Children's residential home we have a vast range of needs in the home from educational support, health support and attending activities with our children and young people. We encourage our teams to be creative in the support methods when delivering this to our children and young people. The role of a residential care worker is highly rewarding.
There are routes for progression within Warrington Council and support around further education in line with the role or residential care worker. Warrington offer an extensive package of training and on the job support. In this role in addition to your salary you will be entitled to sleep in payments and enhanced rates of pay for unsociable hours.

In line with the person specification for this role you must be Child Focused, adaptable, flexible, resilient and compassionate. You will have a drive to develop yourself professionally to allow the best care to be provided to our Children and young people.
