The role

Warrington Borough Council hosts the safeguarding partnerships team for employment purposes on behalf of the safeguarding adults board and the safeguarding children partnership.

An exciting opportunity has become available to recruit a new team manager. The board and partnership are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual with demonstrable experience of working at a strategic level, with effective partnership working and the ability to lead and manage a team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the WSAB Independent Chair, the WSP independent scrutiny lead and chair, the strategic partners and the chairs of the various sub-groups to support the safeguarding partnerships to achieving their statutory safeguarding priorities set out within our work plans.

It is essential that potential candidates have experience of policy and strategy development, performance management, managing substantial budgets, chairing complex meetings within a multi-agency context and possess excellent communication skills.

An important aspect of the role is to lead and manage a small team that provides the business support function and supports and co-ordinates the work of the partnerships.
