We're asking for your views on our Draft Local Validation Checklist.
Since 2008 local planning authorities are required to publish information checklists they use to 'validate' the planning applications they receive.
A validation list has 2 components:
The Government now requires local planning authorities to review the 'local list' every two years. Since there continue to be a significant number of changes to planning legislation, policy and guidance, we believe it is now the right time to adopt local validation requirements.
This consultation is now closed.
The proposed Local List was open to public consultation for six weeks from Thursday 13 February 2020 to Thursday 26 March 2020.
After the consultation period, we will be considering all comments received and amend the Local List as appropriate. Once approved, this will form the basis on which we validate all planning applications.
