Christmas is coming!

Christmas Published: Wednesday, 22nd November 2017

Christmas is almost upon us, and Warrington Borough Council and its partners are providing a festive programme of events for the whole family to enjoy.

From Christmas markets and fairs, to festive shows and carols; and from wreath-making and magical sleighs, to elf hunts and a pensioners’ party – there’s something for everyone.

And Christmas in Warrington isn’t limited to the town centre, with events taking place across communities, throughout the borough.

Details of all of the exciting festive events taking place in the coming weeks are being collated, in one place, on the council’s website, at www.warrington.gov.uk/christmas. Make this your first port-of-call for information on events. Local organisations who wish to be added to the list can email digital@warrington.gov.uk

Executive board member for culture and partnerships, Cllr Dan Price, said: “I’m delighted we have such a packed programme of events in Warrington this Christmas. Across our town centre, the council, local businesses, charities and other organisations are working together to deliver some fantastic events which will make this a truly magical Christmas for people of all ages.”

The council’s executive board member for leisure and community, Cllr Tony Higgins, added: “It’s set to be another magical Christmas in Warrington, and our communities will be alive with activity. Make sure you join the festivities and enjoy all the wonderful events our borough has to offer!”

Warrington Borough Council will be posting events on its Facebook page and through Twitter, so please follow us @warringtonbc and facebook.com/warringtonbc. If you take any photos at local events, share them to our social media pages!
