Community centre open day
An open day will be hosted on Wednesday 1 May at Sankey Bridges Community Centre by Warrington Borough Council’s Neighbourhood team.
The event will offer residents the opportunity to come along and find out more about the local community activities that help improve wellbeing and fitness.
Services such as Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire Service, Trading Standards and Energy Efficiency will be joining the event to answer questions, and provide tips and health advice. The session will also provide an opportunity for local residents to discover more about the community centre that is there for them to access.
Cheshire Police will be on hand to offer free bike marking and cyber safety advice. Parents and carers can sign up to do a mini first-aid course, and first-aid advice will be available for all.
Residents can get involved with free blood pressure checks, chair-based exercises and dance-fitness taster sessions and kids can enjoy the craft corner.
Warrington Borough Council’s Neighbourhood team will be speaking to attendees during the event to find out what residents would like to see in their community centre and to see what’s taking place locally.
The open day will be held at Sankey Bridges Community Centre, Old Liverpool Road, WA5 1EB from 2pm to 5pm.
